A 2-bedroom home for occasional rental in Charlottesville, Virginia
Butternut Cottage is a small, urban, well-appointed home halfway between the University of Virginia and Charlottesville's Downtown Mall, just off West Main Street. It's an easy walk to both, about 5 blocks in either direction.
The cottage is, as you can see from the photographs, fully furnished and outfitted for your stay. There is wireless internet, cable TV, radio receiver, 5-CD player, and a DVD player with surround-sound audio/video. Additionally, there is off-street parking, A/C, iron and board, and other amenities for your comfort. This is a non-smoking residence.
Your continental breakfast will include a minimum of coffee, teas, orange juice, bananas and other fresh fruit, bread and/or rolls, freshly made granola, oat cereal, yogurt, and milk. If there are any substitutions that would be helpful to accommodate allergies, I do my best to meet these needs.
The usual rate to rent the entire cottage for an individual or couple is $200 per night ($250 on peak weekends), which includes continental breakfast. There is an additional $50 charge ($75 peak) per night per person for use of a second bedroom (with one twin bed and one fold-out sleeper chair) and breakfast. If a third bedroom is required, there is an additional twin bed that can be set up in my office, which is a third bedroom, and adds another $50. Two-night minumum rental, please.
The full rent is payable in advance (refundable with three weeks notice less a $50 booking fee if I'm able to re-rent the dates). Pets may accompany guests with advanced permission and an additional cleaning fee of $50. I accept personal checks and Paypal.
